Vasthu General Tips:
Vasthu is a science of considering the zodiac as a house. Our ancient sages have formulated their theories on "Vasthu" , based only on the classification of twelve houses of zodiac.

Energy => flows from higher level to lower level. So, the slope should be from west to east and from south to north.

Shapes of the plot:

Square: Improves prosperity and good relationships.

Rectangle: Improves good marital relationships and gives fortunate Children.

Disha and their Lords
East: Ruled by Ravi (SUN) and Disha Lord is INDRA The sign is LEO.

West: Ruled by Sani (Saturn) and Disha lord is VARUNA The signs are LIBRA and SCORPIO.

North: Ruled by Budha( Mercury) and Disha Lord is KUBHERA The signs are CAPRICORN and AQUARIUS.

South: Ruled by Sukra (Venus) Disha lord is YAMA The signs are CANCER and LEO.

North-east: Ruled by "GURU" Disha lord is "Shiva".
Signs : Pisces

Any furniture should be placed away from the overhead-beams.

Flooring levels of south should be higher and east lower.

Head of the house should have his bed room situated in south-west block.

If the area is triangular, troubles from superiors is indicated.

Room on north-east should necessarily have two or four doors but not three.

Shades of trees should not fall on the house. Trees with thorns, fruits and yellow flowers are better avoided.

Paintings depicting battlefield, poverty ferocious and cruel animals should not be displayed on walls of a house.

For North-East block house, west and south should be prominent and at a height in comparison with other directions.

East and North are higher level than floor of the house hold will suffer with bad health and and heavy monetary gains.

Overhead water reservoir should be on south-west or North-West blocks. It is necessary to have a structure or a room taller than the reservoir.

The entrance of the shops should be north-east corner only. If you want to open another entrance at South-East, do not close the entrance of north-east.

Generally windows should not be directly opposite to the door. Windows opposite to each other produce instability within the room.
